Hi A1 Concrete in Mobile,
In this short-n-sweet video, you'll learn the level of your Google My Business game faster than you could smooth a driveway with a power screed.

We're as easy to work with as 6in slump. Schedule a call at a time when you're not pouring.

Hey, A1 Concrete!

This is Eric with Steady Calls!

I wanted to make this short video to make sure that you're maximizing the impact of your Google My Business listing. In this video, we're going to take a look at how your business shows up in a normal Google search, Google listing.

And then, how your business research results change, depending on where you are around town in the Lafayette Area.

Then, we'll take a look at how the top competition shows up all throughout the Lafayette service area for concrete.

This is a normal Google search for specific keywords related to your industry. "Concrete Services Near Me" is the most searched phrase on Google for concrete contractors, so I typed in "Concrete Services Near Me." I put in Lafayette, Louisiana just because I'm actually located in Iowa. I need this in order to trigger the locational tag that's going to pull up Google My Businesses or GMB's.

A couple things to point out, oftentimes, you'll find some ads here that Google is pushing out. These ads often get 5 to 10 to 15% of the traffic. And by traffic, I'm talking about people who are looking for concrete services; and are navigating to Google; and are looking for a phone number to call, or a website to click on to get more information.

About at most 15% of the traffic goes to ads and the next section here is called the map pack. This gets about 60 to 70% of the traffic. And then, the rest of the traffic goes to organic results here that would be websites. That Google's Algorithm has deemed very useful for the people who are searching for concrete services.

Here, we've got HomeAdvisor that has some leads for potential clients and then a few concrete contractor websites, as well. To focus on the map pack here, I want you to notice that these top three businesses have the phone numbers right there in front of you. These top three you get about, as I said 70% of the traffic or 70% of the traffic goes to this map pack area.

And these three get the majority of it because people don't have to do much work, Google makes it easy here. They have reviews if those reviews are available, so even though number three here is the third-ranked business, you know? These reviews because potential clients can see all three at once.

They kind of have it levels the playing field where it doesn't really matter if you're number 1, 2, or 3. Once you're in this zone, you have the ability to convince people to pull out their phones and type your number. And that, of course, results in more opportunity to submit bids on potential jobs and the more ability to close jobs and provide for your family.

This "View All" button is what we call these three in the map pack would be above the fold. And if you hit "View All" you would see all of the GMB's that are below the fold. Here, you might find yourself in this list and this would be the next section that has a chance to get those phone calls from people who are looking for your services.

And then, you can even have multiple pages beyond these top 10, 10 to 15 GMB's. So that's an overview of a normal Google search. I wanted to use this tool to show you how your Google My Business Listing changes depending on where you are around Lafayette. This is called a Heat Map.

It pulls the same data that we were looking at in a single, excuse me, a simple single use Google search like "Concrete Services Near Me" but this what's really neat about this Heat Map. Is that it breaks it down by location. A lot of people don't realize that where you are even within one city, it changes how Google displays those Google My Business Listings to the potential client who's looking for the service.

I'm going to zoom in to show what I mean by location specific listings here. We have a specific location where there would be residences, potentially, businesses who might need concrete services if we have. Sally has a home that needs a new patio. She might go to Google type in "Concrete Services Near Me."

And in this scenario, A1 Concrete is the number 12. Concrete contractor that she sees on her normal Google search that we looked at a few minutes ago. On the other hand, if we have Jeremy who's near Larabee and needs concrete services done. Your A1 Concrete is going to be showing up as number two that's in the map pack.

Jeremy doesn't have to, doesn't even have to click below the fold to find your phone number, and is much more likely to give a call than Sally who was kind of stuck and couldn't really find you and had 11 numbers to call before she got to A1 Concrete. So that's kind of the idea of a location specific if we focus in on these 1, 2, and 3.

Like I alluded to that's going to get you the most amount of traffic and this drop off. From 3 to 4 can be a bit of a jump because it requires that secondary click and then once we get over 10, you know? That's really very unlikely that someone who's looking for concrete services is going to call through that many numbers and click through that many pages.

So, the traffic here in the majority about half of the service area. Good luck on getting phone calls from that! And of course, you know? The more green, the more potential there is to get phone calls that lead to sending bids out for jobs receiving jobs, and ultimately providing for your employees and your family and growing your business.

This Heat Map is a great way to get a big picture view of how you show up on Google My Business all throughout town. Next, I'd like to show you an example Heat Map of this is where you are and I like to show you where you can be. This Heat Map gives a snapshot of where you could be at some point in the future.

This, as you can see, just based on the colors, there's a lot of green in a very broad area so often, you know? It's not too hard to be ranked number one at a very hyper local level. It's a lot harder to be seen as the concrete kings in a very broad all throughout this Lafayette area. Anyone who's searching for concrete on the North side, you know?

It's a bit weaker on the South, but you're still getting into that first section just below the fold, so there's obviously some room to improvement. Ideally, you're you'd be number ones across the board. You might be wondering how do I shift and push this number four just below the fold into something that's in that 1, 2, and 3 spot.

Getting about 60 to 70% of the calls, which translates into bids going out, jobs coming in, and more ability to grow your business, and that's where Steady Calls comes in. At Steady Calls, we service your company's Google My Business Listing so that Google knows you as the King of the Lafayette, Louisiana area.

When it comes to concrete, think of Google as a forgetful sibling or spouse. If you are you need something done or you have an event that you're going to go to, you need to continually remind them of what's going on what's important, and why they should care. That's what Steady Calls does with Google, we remind Google.

If we have to pay sticky notes with your listing around the Lafayette area, we'll do that and just give it that nudge that "Hey, you know? You are the concrete king in this area!"
