This is Eric with Steady Calls. 

I wanted to shoot this quick video to make sure that you're maximizing your Google My Business Listing. First, I'm going to take a look at how your business shows up in a standard Google Search. Then, we'll take a look at how that search result can change, depending on where you are around town.

And then, we'll take a look at how the top competition shows up around Montgomery in a typical Google Search. There's a couple sections above this map. Sometimes, there are ads these would be paid ads and they get about 5 to 15% of that traffic. And by traffic, it kind of boils down to eyeballs on your phone number or clicking onto a website to get more information.

So, 15% of that goes to ads, 60 to 70% goes to what's called the Map Pack, which is this area here. And then, 20 to 30% go to these organic websites. I want to focus on the Google My Business Listing that are shown here, though.

This would be number 1, 2, and 3 on a list of GMBS that Google is kind of pushing to people who are searching for concrete services in a specific location. Google makes it easy for you to just pick up the phone and call these different companies.

In fact, if you're on a mobile, sometimes, there is a "Call" button right here where you can literally tap and get connected directly to get a bid and quote a job. So that's from our perspective as a service provider, that's what we want. We want to maximize those calls.

So that we can send out more bids get more jobs and ultimately grow our company with this map pack. You'll notice these are only the top three GMBS. In order to see the full list, you have to hit this button that expands everything and these all have phone numbers where you can get those eyeballs on your number.

But of course, if you're on page 2, 3, or 4, that's a lot harder to get the traffic. The vast majority of the people who are doing this search are really looking for easy results. They're trying to get these top numbers and they often don't even click on this "View All."

Being in the map pack, being the top three GMBS can really maximize the calls that you get just because there's a couple extra steps if you're listed as number four here. Next, I want to take a look at what's called a Heat Map. This is a tool that I just recently got access to.

I was able to meet with the gentleman who's been developing this over the last two years and just rolled it out this fall.  But it's a great way to take a big picture view of how you are doing in a specific area. One way to understand this is, if we zoom in on one of these circles, you can see that this is a specific location around Montgomery.

If you imagine that you are on Yarbrough Street Baptist Church, maybe you are in charge of maintaining this. You need to redo some sidewalks that are hazardous and. You're looking for some concrete work to be done, you might go to Google and look to get a list of numbers like we were just taking a look at.

Google is going to feed you a list of numbers and on that list. Diamond Concrete and Slabs LLC is number one on that list. On the other hand, if you go across town to a different geographical location and do that exact same search, you could even do word for word "Concrete Services Near Me."

In this location on that list of numbers, Diamond Concrete is listed as number 10. Being able to see this big picture view lets you know how you're really doing around a service area. A lot of people kind of get sucked into, you know? That standard search that we have learned how to do as consumers.

But as a business owner, you don't want to be thinking that you're doing great by being in, you know? You're in the map pack with a number 1,2, or 3 and that's great! That's a great way to maximize the amount of calls you can get. But if you only do a search in these green areas, you're not going to see the full picture of where you're ranking all throughout the town.

So that's a bit about how a picture of where you're at currently. Next, I'd like to show you a Heat Map that kind of shows you where we can take this. This is a different Heat Map for a concrete company in this same region, but you can see there's a lot more green going on here.

We've got 1, 2, and 3, and even just outside I'm kind of half. These are all on that first page, kind of single digits you can, kind of PEG as on that first page, just below the fold, where you expand that to the list of numbers. Now, you might be wondering where Steady Calls fits in.

We service different companies Google My Business Listing to remind Google who the concrete kings are in a specific area. You can think of Google as a forgetful spouse. I know I'm not the biggest fan of various social events back when we were doing those, so it would, you know? 

I'd require several reminders to before I could really act on making sure I know, okay? What's important to me and often whether that's a sticky note or a text that kind of consistency. Oh yeah, that's what I should be focusing on. I can really help to motivate someone who's not necessarily have the same interests that you do and that's what Steady Calls does with Google.
