I wanted to send you this video to make sure you're getting the maximum attention from your Google My Business Listing as possible. In this video, I'll show you three quick things:
First of all, the view of your Google My Business Listing as you normally see it and I want to add, show you some stats there.
And then, secondly, the view of your company across town and I also want to show you one technique that will help you be where you could be, okay? I would get your Google My Business where it could be so, alright?
Let's get started!
We're going to start by going off here. You're going to suit most people looking for concrete services use "Concrete Services Near" and it'll be "Me," right? I'm located in Northwest Iowa, so to pull up Sioux Falls, I got to do, I have to search "Sioux Falls, South Dakota," you know? So, it pulls up.
You're going to see a map similar to this. Sometimes, you're going to have an ad up here. Sometimes, you're going to have an ad down here. That ad is going to pull anywhere between 5 to 15% of the people looking for concrete service. Looking to spend money on their patios, driveways, foundations, those kinds of things.
But they're then 60 to 70% of the traffic, statistically is going to come down here and look at doing Amazon Analysis, basically, okay? This guy's got 2.8 reviews, 2.8 stars on his listing. He's got four of them on average of four of you out of the average there. Then, he's got, then this guy Northwest Concrete Cutting and Crane Service has 5, as a bunch of 5 star reviews.
Between these two companies, who would you go with? I mean from a viewer's standpoint, you know? Obviously, you're going to go with this guy here. I mean the debate is really and for this in this instance between Crump Concrete Construction LLC and Northwest Concrete Cutting and Crane Service because they've got 15 reviews and 4.5 stars.
And these guys got 6 reviews and 5 stars. I mean they're so that's really the closer debate. We got 5, 15% going to this ad, maybe a little more with the reviews there. And then, we've got 60 to 70% going to this part of the listing, the more trusted section because you can't just buy your positioning there, right?
And then, you've got then the rest of the traffic. The difference goes down here and checks out the organic results. So that's how that's the breakdown, that's the statistics here. Then, I want to show you my tool that enables me to see how your business listing comes up around town.
There's an assumption that your listing comes up the same way around town and it's not true, okay? So, let's look at Siouxland K & K, for instance. Around here, you can see that they come up pretty done well in the Southwest Corner or Southeast corner of Sioux Falls and out into Northwest Iowa, you know?
Just out on the South Dakota border, right? Canton Granite all that stuff. But out by Brandon, they start to lose it and then start by Linux, they start to lose it. But then, as you get into Sioux Falls Proper, they really don't do all that well. Because as we know, green does means you're getting, you have a high chance of getting the call.
But yellow means you're close to getting the call, but you're still not on, you're still below this into the "View All" section. But then, red and orange means, you've got a lot more work to do before you can actually show up and be visible to people looking for concrete services. So that's how this works specifically.
Now let's dive into your specific map listing and go from there, alright? Distinctive Surfaces Inc, let's dive into your specific listing inside of Sioux Falls! So, as you can see, the yellow, the green is where you're showing up best. That means you're showing up in the inside of the map pack, inside these top three positions, so you're specifically as a number two.
So, you're showing up in this part when somebody searches from this particular location. The intersection looks like of 229 and on Highway 29. So, but how would you begin to expand? Say, where this eight is because that's going to be more of the lowest hanging fruit for your area, remember? Because it's more of the orange and yellow.
The light orange and yellow where that where you can easily take over. So, I want to dive into one specific technique in this section to show you how you can begin to do that. It starts with photos. Everybody's got a lot of photos, right? For social media, so how do you begin to put those photos more to business use besides directly promoting your business?
Well, you can tell Google. You can tag them with your location and use that location to tell Google where you want to show up, where you want your listing to show up more often. So, let's use, let's go to the tool! This is called Geoimgr (G-E-O-I-M-G-R). It's a free tool you can use at a certain level and then there's a paid tier as well.
But for your level, the free tier will work just fine. So, you can first upload the photo then you're going to tag and find the specific location that you want your listing come up as. So, as we saw over here, it's just where the lister. We want to move a little bit West, East of the intersection of 229 and 29.
We're gonna go do that. We're gonna go find that location. So, we're gonna go a little bit West of that location and we're gonna go to that one. So that's I mean this is just South and East of the Empire Mall. So that's what now that we have, the latitude and longitude. Don't worry, we're not going to be quizzed on those numbers later.
So, they're freaking long decimals but you're going to write the EXIF Tags. That's the button you're going to click then you're going to see photo tagged. That's the signal that's the-, that's what we want to see. Then, you'll see that the existing Geotags and the new Geotags are the same. That's what we want to see and you're going to see.
Then, you're going to add a name to your photo. Basically, this is add this one to be your most profitable service that you can offer, right? If your most profitable service is pouring concrete and laying it out and we're finishing concrete or providing the concrete. So that others can go finish it and put your most profitable service here.
Then, add your lower tier services here like for this one. Add 5 to 8 words, add this one for another five day words. And at the end of the description one, add the link to your website, okay? Then, click "Download" then you're gonna upload this to your Google My Business Listing.
Because then, Google's gonna be like "Hey! Hey! Hey! We got a new image! We got a new image! We have to check it out!" So then, inside here, you've got you. They'll see, they'll scan the back of your image and be like "Hey! We got something going on just South and East of the Empire Mall, right?
Right on the South side of 229. Let's go! Let's figure out what it is, so they're going to scan. Then, they're going to scan this part and see "Okay! We got a freshly poured concrete parking lot out here! Who did it right?" And, they're going to answer themselves basically because they're going to be like "Oh! Hey! Distinctive Surfaces says Incorporated did that!"
That's how you begin to get more attention from Google via your Google My Business Listing. So, now, that I've talked about a specific tactic that you can employ today before you go to bed, you can and you can do this with a bunch of different photos. I think the free version will limit you to like 15 photos a day if you did this with this grid is 9x9, so 81.
If you do this with 81 photos next year when you have your concrete service finding up jobs for the spring, you'll get a lot more calls, alright? So that's the secret there. But I want to take a minute if you'll let me and talk about the overall strategy that Steady Calls my company takes when we optimize Google My Business Listings, alright?
So, let's dive into that, alright?
Now, you've seen these three different things and you've seen just seen how you show up in normal Google My Business Listing around town. As well as, you know how you could also improve your listing if you chose to using the Geotag technique.
Now, I just want to tell you a little bit about how my companies, my company's Steady Calls helps companies in Sioux Falls. We service Google Map Business Listings so that Google comes to know you as in this case the concrete king of the space. Then, you got to imagine there's different ones that we do, you know?
You've got the concrete king, you got the HVAC king, you know? There's different ones that we do, so think. But what do we do with Google specifically, okay? You got to think of Google in this case like your forgetful sister or wife, you know? You the Geotagging is one way.
