Hi Primo Concrete,
In this short-n-sweet video, you'll learn the level of your Google My Business game faster than you could smooth a driveway with a power screed.

We're as easy to work with as 6in slump. Schedule a call at a time when you're not pouring.

Hey, Primo Concrete!

This is Eric with Steady Calls.

I wanted to shoot this quick video to make sure that you're maximizing your Google My Business search results.

First, we're going to do a standard Google search to see how that GMB is showing up.

And then, we'll take a look at how that search result can change depending on where you are around town.

And then, we'll take a look at how the top competition is showing up around Montgomery on a typical Google search.

What I've done here is "Concrete Services Near Montgomery, Alabama." You'll get a couple ads before this map, there's none showing here if they are. This is kind of that first section and if there are ads, they tend to get on average about 5 to 15% of that web traffic. Next section here is what's called the map pack.

This gets about 60 to 70% of that traffic. And below here, these organic search results get the rest of that traffic, 20 to 30%. And when I talk about web traffic, just like foot traffic. It really boils down to getting eyeballs on your phone number whether someone's passing by your truck at a job site or they're scrolling past a Google My Business Listing.

We really want to get those that connection. So that if they're looking for concrete services, they can pick up the phone and call. And that pick up the phone and call feature is one of the big reasons why this map pack gets 60 to 70%. The majority of the traffic going to this page and that's because Google is really making it easy for people to call.

Especially, number 1, 2, and 3. The phone number is out in the open and there's also reviews. Some other metrics that make it easy for people to make a decision between 1 versus the other and hit that button and call. If you do want that full list of Google My Business Listings, you can hit this "View All" button and expand to get number 4, 5, and so on.

A lot of people don't, though, because of a concept called being above the fold. If you think of- if you're trying to read an envelope in order to decide whether or not to open it up and unfold the full letter, that's kind of the where the above the fold concept comes from. You have a limited amount of information that you are able to see and everything else is hidden.

And if you don't get what you're looking for, then you can decide to click here. But if you do see what you're looking for and a lot of people are really just looking for those quick easy phone numbers, you're not going to touch this button. And a lot of that opportunity for number four on the list is lost in terms of getting that phone call.

Next, I'd like to move into a different way to look at this. This is a tool called a Heat Map and it's actually pulling the exact same data that we were looking at but it lays it over a locational grid. So, to explain this, I'm going to zoom in to one of these circles and you can kind of see we've got Alabama River. This is a geographical location.

If you can think of someone who is on County Road 4, doing that exact same Google search that we just took a look at. What this tool is saying is that on that list of Google My Business phone numbers 1, 2, and 3 are in the map pack and 4 through 10 are on that first page. On that list of phone numbers, Primo Concrete is number nine on that list.

On the other hand, if we zip over to a different section of town, maybe someone's near Greek Park, you could do that exact same Google search word-for-word and Google is give going to give you a different list of phone numbers that are more relevant to this specific area as deemed by Google.

And on that list of phone numbers, Primo Concrete is number six. So, now, that when we know that we can kind of zoom out and see that this is a big picture view, a lot of people don't realize that it can change, you know? From 9 to 6 to 20 in the span of a couple miles. And if you do know this, then you know that you need to take a bigger wider view than just a simple Google search.

This is a view of how you're doing currently. Next, I'd like to show you a different Heat Map that gives you a vision for where we can take this. This is the exact same locational grid. Each one of these circles lines up and each one of these numbers represents a list from the top or a rank from the top of this business.

In this case, this is a different business though and you can kind of see that they're doing a lot better just from taking a look at the colors. The Heat Map kind of lays it out from that red of kind of the 20 and above or below. If we're thinking of counting down like Google's got it laid out, it goes from red to all the way to green and we've got a lot of green going on here.

Especially important is this 3 to 4 spot just because of that concept of being above the fold and below the fold. So, you can imagine that, you know? If we're comparing if you're on 12th on the list versus being number 2, you're getting the vast majority of those 60 to 70% of the phone calls because a lot of people aren't going to bother with expanding and scrolling through the top 12.

People have to kind of be a bad fit just based on your scrolling in order for you to pick up the phone and call. And, of course, the more calls we get, the more bids we can send out. The more jobs we close and ultimately the more revenue for the business, which allows us to grow, and you know? Support our families.

Now, you might be wondering where Steady Calls fit in. We service your Google My Business Listing to remind Google who the concrete kings are in this specific area. You can think of Google as a forgetful spouse. I know I'm not the biggest fan of various social events back when we were doing those and I need whether it's sticky notes at the office or text throughout the day.

I need those consistent reminders in order to actually take action on the things that I'm supposed to do and Google's the same way. What we do at Steady Calls? We do the equivalent of posting sticky notes around these locational areas. So that when Google's doing its data tracking or data collection and creating these lists, they- we can remind them of who is important in these specific areas and that's how we can get these businesses to kind of flip from being number 4 to number 3.

Getting into the map pack and seeing that big burst in phone calls and ultimately jobs. So, really appreciate your time. Please take a look at the Heat Map. It is linked below this video. And if you don't see your business here, you can click on this box and find it on the scroll feature or search. You can also click the link that's below the other link, below this video that goes to a calendar where you can schedule a call with myself or someone else from my team. Thanks again and I'll talk to you later!
