Hi, Rocky's Concrete!

This is Eric with Steady Calls.

I wanted to shoot this quick video to make sure that you're maximizing your opportunity on Google My Business Listing.

First, we're going to take a look at how your business shows up in a normal Google Listing from a typical search.

Then, we'll take a look at how your business search results show up around town. These search results can change based on your specific location even in the same city Little Rock.

Then, we'll take a look at how your top competition shows up all throughout the Little Rock Service area.

What I've got here is a standard Google search. This "Concrete Services Near Me" is those are the keywords. That essentially means that's what the top list or phrase that Google has registered across all of its data collection connected to trying to find concrete contractors, this is what people are typically typing in.

I added "Little Rock, Arkansas" to the end of the phrase because that tags it as location specific and I'm actually in Iowa. So, I need this in order to get this view you. Probably, if you wanted to test this out yourself, you could just search for "Concrete Services Near Me."

And, if you're searching in Little Rock, this should be what you're pulling up. I want to draw your attention to a couple things. First, we're going to potentially there could be ads above this map here. Those ads get about 5 to 10 to 15% of the traffic that comes to this page that is searching for "Concrete Services Near Me" and you know?

If we as a concrete contractor get more of that traffic, the more just like foot traffic passing, your store or seeing your sign Google traffic is what we want because we want to get our number in front of the people who are going to call it to get bids. The next section is right here is called the Map Pack and this is where the Google My Business Listing are.

These get about 60 to 70% of the overall traffic coming to this Google search page. And then, below we have organic search results. These will kind of collect the last 20 to 30% of that total traffic. To focus back to the map pack, this is where you have a first opportunity to get your number in front of people who are taking a look, looking for concrete services near them.

These top 1, 2, and 3, you can see they've got their phone number right there, If I wanted to, I could plug that in if you're on a mobile device. Sometimes, Google has a button here, where you can just tap and call direct. These get the large chunk of the potential business because they just Google.

Google makes it easy for someone who is looking for that service to just call. You can also see that there's reviews here that those just make it even easier for a potential customer to decide. In this case, even though Evolution Concrete here is ranked is number 3, 3rd down, it's essentially on an even playing field if you're scrolling by and because of these higher reviews that might, you know?

Someone who's calling might go 1, 2, 3, just based on reviews. It kind of depends on what they're looking for this button. "View All" button is highlights something that I'd like to talk about, which is the concept of being above the fold. That's a term that we use, it kind of comes from back when you get paper envelopes.

I still get a lot of kind of spam mail, in my mail, physical mailbox that I skim through. This is what you read. Above the fold is how you decide whether you're going to chuck the envelope or actually open it up, unfold it, and see the entire thing. A lot of people, if they see what they want to see above the fold, they're not even going to click "Below Here" and see.

Below the fold would be where you've got number 4, 5, 6, 7 here. So that's a little bit about how your Google My Business shows up in a standard search of a potential client who's looking for those concrete services. What we're looking at here is a tool that pulls in the same data that we were looking at earlier when it comes to a Google My Business Listing.

This is called a Heat Map and the way it's unique is that it gives you a big picture view of how you're doing throughout an entire the entire surrounding area. So, to explain that a little further, let's zoom in. If we were in this region, maybe by University Park here, a residence looking for concrete "I have a concrete project, maybe a patio that I need to put in."

I'm going to go to Google type in "Concrete Services Near Me," the exact same search that we were looking at earlier. Except, in this case, Google is going to say "Okay! You're in this location. I'm going to give you the list of the concrete kings in this location. And on that list, Rocky's Concrete is number three moving across town.

However, that situation can change if there's Joe has a house, needs a patio, just similar to what we're looking at with the number three ranking. Here, Rocky's Concrete is number 20, and that Google search can be the exact same word-for-word search. But what Google's doing is it is creating a list that's unique to a very hyper-localized area.

Now, a lot of people don't realize that this is what's going on and it can be a little misleading. Because if you're over here in sort of this green area your, you know? Number three is in the map pack. That's getting that the top tier of calls. The majority of people who are looking for a phone number to call real quick.

They don't really want to keep scrolling through pages and pages to find you on number 20. They're gonna look for the top three. And maybe, if they have a couple minutes, they'll expand and say try to find some gold below the fold with these number 4, 5, and 6 but that, you know? More green is gonna help us out in terms of getting that traffic people's eyeballs on your phone number, which means that more people are going to call.

More people are going to get bids from you and more people are going to accept those jobs and that all adds up to expanding your influence, expanding your ability, to increase your revenue, and support your family. So, this is a bird's eye view of how you're doing around town with the Google My Business Listings.

Just being able to see this can help you out a lot just to cut through some of the misconception. But I'd like to show you another Heat Map that can give you a vision for where you can take this in the future. This second Heat Map shows an example of where you could take this Google My Business Listing.

Kind of the full picture of everything around the Little Rock area. And as you can see, there's a lot of green going on here. We got ones across the board on over half of the dots here. And of course, 1, 2, and 3, that's really what we're looking for. When it comes to even these threes are on that same playing field above the fold.

Once you get into 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 that's, you know? One click away on the, you know? Open it up if someone's opening up the entire envelope. They're looking below the folds, they're really trying to gather as much data as they can to make a good decision. All the even these yellows here, of course, you know?

We can bump those up to become closer to green. But that's a picture of someone who's doing very well in this space. You might be asking at this point how does Steady Calls fit in.
