We're as easy to work with as 6in slump. Schedule a call at a time when you're not pouring.

Hey, Stampede Concrete!

This is Eric with Steady Calls.

I wanted to shoot this quick video to make sure that you're maximizing your Google My Business Listings.

First, we're going to take a look at how your business shows up in a normal Google listing.

Then, we'll see how those search results show up all around town. A lot of people think that a single Google search can cover it and that's a common misconception.

Then, we're going to see how your top competition shows up all around Montgomery.

This is a simple Google search that you can do. I put "Montgomery Alabama" after "Concrete Services" in order to trigger the specific location because I'm in Iowa out of state. But you don't need this secondary piece and to get a screen that looks like this and I want to draw your attention to a couple things.

First, if there are ads, they're above this map visual and those ads get about 10 to 15% of the traffic total traffic to the page. You can think of traffic on web traffic similar to foot traffic. It's really boils down to having eyeballs on your phone number on your company and connecting it to the people.

Connecting your company to people who are looking for concrete services. This is what's called the map pack. This gets about 60 to 70% of that traffic and then the rest 20 to 30% goes to these organic search results, which would be websites and such. I want to focus on the map pack for a little bit.

These 1, 2, and 3, these are the top Google My Business Listings and you can see that Google makes it easy for potential customers to call these contractors because the phone number is right there and it also gives reviews and a couple other pieces of information that make it easier for people to decide which one to call to get a bid on a job.

Say, this "View All" button expands this list to the full list of Google My Businesses and these are very similar reviews and phone numbers. But a lot of people don't get to see these phone numbers because there's a secondary click that you have to choose to make this choice to click and expand.

So, a lot of people see these phone numbers the 1, 2, and 3 because they're what's called above the fold. If you think about a letter, you need to unfold it to see all of the information, and you know? There's a limited amount of time that people have before they make a decision to either unfold the envelope, or just pitch it in the trash, and move on with the information they have.

It's great to be in these top spots on Google My Business. Next, I want to take a look at what's called a Heat Map. Not sure if you've seen one of these before. But this is a way to get a big picture view of how your list of phone, how you are doing on that list of phone numbers. A lot of people think that a single Google search will work.

But what this does is it lays out a grid of different Google searches that are have different locational tags very specific locations. So, to explain this, I'm going to zoom in to one circle and you can see that this is a location around town, you know? If you were at Advanced Building Products doing a Google search, there would be a list of numbers just like what we took a look at.

And on that list of numbers, Stampede Concrete would be number 13 on that list. So that's what the numerical number in the center of the circle is. These are color-coded to kind of show you that green is those top 1, 2, and 3 spots, and orange and red are kinds of those pieces that are buried on the second page below the fold that require a lot of effort to get to see these phone numbers.

You can see how you're doing around town with this visual. Next, I want to show you a different Heat Map, and this kind of shows where you could be if you can imagine being able to expand into these top spots from 1 of your weaker areas. And, of course, being able to be in 1, 2, or 3, or even 4, and 5 is a lot better than being in these double-digits because of those statistics that we took a look at earlier.

About 60 to 70% of those calls are going to those top businesses in the map pack. And, of course, where the calls go? That just opens up your opportunity to send out many more bids, which results in more jobs and allows your company to grow and you to support your family and your employees.

You might be wondering how Steady Calls fits in. Well, we remind Google who the concrete kings are in certain areas. You can think of Google as a forgetful spouse that needs consistent reminders whether that's texts or sticky notes. I know I'm not the biggest fan of various social events when we were doing those, so you know?

I would need consistent reminders that entire week just to keep it on the top of my mind and Google's the same way. If you aren't consistently reminding them who's number 1, 2, and 3 in this area, you can kind of fall down into these pages where you're sort of buried underneath other phone numbers and people don't even get the chance to give you a shot.

I really appreciate the time. Please take a look at the Heat Map that's linked below. It might not show your company to start, so this would be where you click to do a search or you can scroll to find your company or different concrete contractors that are in that same area kind of lying for these top spots. I really appreciate the time and have a great night!
